After a long hiatus during the pandemic, K.I.D.S ltd trend publications are back.  As with a lot of fashion businesses, we pressed pause in March 2020 as lockdown gripped the world. At first, we thought this would mean skipping one or two issues of our seasonal trend forecast while we focused on demands at home from general well-being to home schooling and adapting to working from home.  COVID ended up lasting much longer than we initially anticipated leaving the question of where fashion, the high street, trend, and consumer forecasting would fit into the new normal and more importantly the future of the industry overall. 
Since then, we have been seriously evaluating what we should be offering as an accessible trend forecaster to our smaller brand and retail clients.  The fashion industry is evolving at an epic pace and the requirements from trend forecasts are no exception.  Instead of our two seasonal trend forecasts we will now be offering four forecasts a year: one for each season.  We are commencing with this quick drop summer 23 taster issue and will continue with and autumn drop in around three months’ time.
We will also be changing the way we communicate too.  It’s our aim to drop more specific information on a more regular basis.  With this we want to round up all our communication as we move forward to new Instagram account @kids.ltd.  While our business was born through blogging, we are finding that consumers are wanting information instantly and more accessibly rather than searching web pages and traditional blogs.  We will now be posting all our trend product information, updates, and design work all on instagram.  We will continue our e mail updates for a little while too for those that either don’t use Instagram or who need an extra nudge.
We will be very much in a process of experimentation over the next six months and really value your feedback and input.  We are a small business that really wants to serve our small client bases individual needs as best we can.  We can only do that by receiving feedback.  Please feel free to e mail or message us with any feedback you have on our products and publications.  The more we know the more accurately we can tailor our offering to you.
As many retailers broaden their offerings into home and interior and even pet fashion, we are also anticipating dropping younger homeware and interior forecasts twice a year too. 
We are really excited about the future and look forward to tailoring and evolving our trend information to meet the pace and needs of the fashion industry as consciously and sustainably as possible.
