[K.I.D.S] Kidswear Inspiration & Design Services was founded in 2015 by director Emily Kiddy.  Emily worked as a designer for over ten years offering creative design solutions to a variety of international brands and retailers.  Previously Emily worked as a freelance designer under her own name but after expanding the business in 2015 now operates under the company [K.I.D.S] ltd.
How did it all begin? During her early career, Emily had a lot of success blogging a variety of creative projects and trend inspiration under her popular self-titled blog Emily Kiddy.  After a huge demand for her trend posts, in 2015 she decided to take things one step further and create an actual trend publication for purchase which is when [K.I.D.S] was born.
Under her own name and K.I.D.S, Emily has launched multiple fashion brand start-ups as well as supporting established brands with product design, fashion design, print and pattern, fashion illustration, social media content, branding packages (and much more) for a variety of different projects.
During her early freelance designer, Emily found it hard to come across a reliable yet affordable trend publication or website.  Most of the publications and sites that were on available were far too expensive for her to join or purchase which inspired the creation of her affordable and accessible trend forecast publications.  These publications now sell regularly to over 100 brand and retailers who use it inspire or supplement their own forecasting.
The aim of K.I.D.S is to offer creative support to brands.  Whether it’s creating the initial brand identity for a new start up or having a little extra help designing collections or print – we are here to offer that creative spark.  Why not get in touch today to see how we can inspire and support your creative journey?
As well as designing, Emily also lectures in fashion buying and brand management sharing her knowledge and experience of trend forecasting, design, product development, shop reporting, researching and production with BA Hons students.  Emily’s passion for teaching has also seen her run several independent courses including trend forecasting for childrenswear brands.  Emily has also created numerous free you tube tutorials on fashion related topics on her educational you tube channel.  You can find out more about Emily’s academic career under her academic portfolio.
