Each year, as the academic year ends, many parents (me included) look for a meaningful way to show appreciation for their children’s teachers and all the hard work they do. In the past, I’ve gifted homemade honey from our family’s farm or sourced other local items.
This year, I wanted to do something a bit different. I created an illustration of the town where the school is located, with the idea of turning it into A5-sized postcard-style thank-you cards. The plan is to write a personal message on the back, allowing the cards to be kept as a memento or displayed at home or in the classroom.
Here’s a sneak peek at the final illustration of Ely—home to our children’s wonderful school, King’s Ely.
